Comic Advert for 'The Adventures of The Anti-Bac Fairy'
This character design is based off my Grandma (Joyce) from an inside family joke about her excessively cleaning and wiping down work surfaces. Reading into this can be interpreted that to be a hero, like 'The Anti-Bac Fariy,' you don't have to have superhuman strength to be a superhero. During this pandemic, if you use anti bacteria gel and hand wash to be sanitary, you're classes as a superhero. It is that easy and simple to save lives. By including an advertisement for another comic is natural in the comic book industry. Keeping the Coronavirus as a key topic throughout, this comic cover fits in accurately with the overall aesthetic of my final major theme too.
The Sad Andrex Puppy Advert to Stop Stock-piling
During this time during lockdown, many people where panic buying items in supermarkets and stock-piling toilet rolls in particular. This made it difficult for anyone to buy. From people stock-piling, online sellers re-listed toilet paper for ridiculously overpriced amounts, exploiting people for basic human needs.
Vault-Tec Shelter Advert
While producing my comic final major, I wanted to include some personal interests. I decided to link in features from the post apocalyptic 'Fallout' franchise and universe. I did this by taking the 'Vault Boy' character and manipulated the text making it fit the current Coronavirus pandemic. The idea of Vault-Tec is that it is an evil testing company that uses its 'Vault Dwellers' for a variety of experiments, without notifying the people homed in these shelters. With my design, I adopted the yellow and blue colour scheme as well as the pre-existing 'Vault Boy' character.
